Press Release 011218
Calerga announces the immediate release of LyME 2, a major
update of the scientific application for Palm OS with a
Matlab-compatible language. Based on the computation engine
of SysQuake 2, LyME implements more than 320 mathematical and
graphical functions exploiting the power of matrix and complex
number math.
Lausanne, Switzerland, December 18, 2001 - Calerga announces
today the immediate release of LyME 2. LyME 2 is the first major
update of a powerful scientific application for Palm OS handheld
devices. It benefits from the numerous improvements of the
programming language of SysQuake 2, such as support for
object-oriented programming and a debugger. Other enhancements
are specific to Palm devices: access to their databases,
exchange of data with the MemoPad application, an improved system
for importing libraries from the desktop computer, and the
capability of sharing programs with other Palm devices via the
infrared link.
LyME keeps the features which have made it appreciated by
thousands of engineers, teachers and students: mathematical
functions which span from trigonometry and logarithms to advanced
linear algebra, statistics and numerical integration; graphics;
and the programming language they are accustomed to on desktop
and workstation computers 20 to 1000 times heavier.
