Press Release 011219b
Calerga announces the final release of SysQuake 2 and SysQuake 2 LE.
Through innovative use of interactive graphics, SysQuake reveals insights
into complex scientific problems. SysQuake 2 LE is available immediately
as a free download for Mac OS and Windows computers.
Lausanne, Switzerland, 19 December, 2001 - Calerga announces today the
immediate release of SysQuake 2 and SysQuake 2 LE for Mac OS 9, Mac OS X
and Windows.
SysQuake 2 is the latest version of the application which helps
understanding mathematics, physics and engineering and enables the rapid
design of high-performance technical systems. SysQuake 2 LE, the free
version which shares many of the capabilities of SysQuake 2, can be
downloaded now from the site of Calerga.
SysQuake 2 provides a better integrated development environment, a smoother
learning curve for simple tasks, improved graphics, object-oriented
programming, and libraries of functions which extend its core programming
language. With respect to SysQuake 2 LE, SysQuake adds high-quality
numerical functions based on LAPACK, the de-facto standard for linear
algebra computation; a powerful mechanism to exchange data among SysQuake
program and with other applications; the possibility for the user to add
his/her own commands and functions written in C or other compiled
languages; and low-level file access.
About SysQuake
SysQuake is a ground-breaking application for understanding and designing
complex systems by the use of interactive graphics. Interactivity lets the
user manipulate graphics, observe how phenomena are related, and change
parameters to improve the design of a technical device. Understanding how
initial conditions affect a simulation or how the parameters of a feedback
controller determine the behavior of a dynamic system is made much easier
than with the static graphics created by other software.
SysQuake's powerful, yet easy-to-program computer language opens it to any
kind of application; SysQuake handles the user interface itself, letting
the developer concentrate on the specifics of his or her problem. It is
shipped with applications in the fields of automatic control, analog and
digital filters, model identification, physics, and finance. SysQuake is
not only useful for research and development--its ability to help really
understand the system beyond the graphics makes it also the ideal tool for
teaching.
SysQuake 2 and SysQuake 2 LE (for Mac OS 9/X and Windows 98/Me/NT/2000)
are available immediately.
