Press Release 041015
Calerga announces the release of Sysquake 3. Through
innovative use of interactive graphics, Sysquake reveals
insights into complex scientific problems.
Lausanne, Switzerland, 15 October 2004 - Calerga announces
today the release of Sysquake 3, a major update of its
main scientific software. On both Windows and Mac OS
X, the user interface has been completely rewritten to offer
an integrated environment for development and applications.
The language and the graphics of Sysquake have been further
developed; extensions open its connectivity capabilities
with support for databases (ODBC on Windows, MySQL(R),
SQLite), for TCP/IP, and for audio input and output. The
extension interface, for adding new functions developed in C
or C++, supports now all the native types of Sysquake, such as
integer numbers and structures, as well as those defined by
the developer. And last but not least, Sysquake includes
Sysquake Application Builder, a new tool to create stand-alone
royalty-free applications with all the graphical interactivity
of Sysquake (without extensions).
About Sysquake
Sysquake is a scientific software application based on a
powerful programming language for numerical computation.
Running on Windows and Mac OS X, it provides interactive
graphics which help understanding and solving complicated
problems in mathematics, physics and engineering. It enables
the rapid design of high-performance technical systems.
Sysquake applications range from research (data analysis,
insight into complicated problems, new design methods),
development, and teaching, to powerful user interfaces
(laboratory equipement, robots).
Sysquake belongs to a family of software solutions which
answer different needs: Sysquake Remote for Web
applications, Sysquake Embedded for fast prototyping of
embedded control systems, and LyME which brings some of the
power of Sysquake to Palm OS handheld devices.
Availability
Sysquake 3.0 is available immediately. A discount of 30 % is
offered to users of Sysquake 2 until January 15th, 2005. For
