Press Release 991101
Calerga and K-Team announce that K-Team is distributing SysQuake, the intuitive
and powerful software for understanding mathematics, physics, and engineering
systems from new perspectives.
Preverenges, Switzerland, November 1, 1999 - Calerga and K-Team announce today
that K-Team, the world leader in small mobile robotics for research and
education, will distribute the family of SysQuake software, including SysQuake
and SysQuake Signer for Macintosh and Windows computers.
"I'm looking forward to a fruitful collaboration with K-Team," announced Yves
Piguet, manager of Calerga and developer of SysQuake. "Solutions integrating
SysQuake and K-Team hardware products will provide a fantastic environment for
education in the fields of robotics and control."
"As providers of user-friendly tools for research and education, K-Team is proud
to sell SysQuake, a real improvement in software analysis and visualisation
tools," said Francesco Mondada, manager of K-Team. "The level of interactivity
achieved is simply incredible and allows new methodologies in teaching or
research activities. Only by trying SysQuake can you believe it!"
SysQuake is a ground-breaking application for understanding and designing complex
systems by the use of interactive graphics. Interactivity lets the user
manipulate graphics, observe how phenomena are related, and change parameters to
improve the design of a technical device. Understanding how initial conditions
affect a simulation or how the parameters of a feedback controller determine the
behavior of a dynamic system is made much easier than with the static graphics
created by existing software.
SysQuake's powerful, yet easy-to-program computer language opens it to any kind
of application; SysQuake handles the user interface itself, letting the developer
concentrate on the specifics of his or her problem. It is shipped with sample
applications in the fields of automatic control, analog and digital filters,
model identification, physics, and finance. SysQuake is not only useful for
research and development--its ability to help really understand the system beyond
the graphics makes it the ideal tool for teaching.
SysQuake 1.0 is shipping now for Macintosh and Windows computers. Its price is
CHF 3,000 for a single license and CHF 15,000 for 10 computers. The costs for an
academic licence for universities and schools are CHF 1,000 and 5,000
respectively. Other multiple licenses and site licenses are available.
